What The largest exhibition in the history of SFMOMA—occupying three floors of the Museum—opens tonight with a black-tie gala reception and dinner in honor of the Bay Area couple whose collection comprises the exhibition. Harry "Hunk" and Mary Margaret "Moo" Anderson built their collection of modern and contemporary art over the past 35 years, and it now comprises over 800 works, 330 of which are on view at SFMOMA.

Celebrating Modern Art: The Anderson Collection is organized by the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art. The exhibition is supported by the Board of Trustees of the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art and the Modern Art Council, a Museum auxiliary. Additional generous support is provided by Doris and Donald Fisher, Helen and Charles Schwab, Evelyn D. Haas, Phyllis Wattis, Mimi and Peter Haas, Patricia and William Wilson III and Elaine McKeon. Media Sponsors: KRON-TV4, BayTV and SF Gate.
Who Among the 400 guests attending the gala opening are many luminaries of the art world, including artists represented in the Anderson Collection: Vija Celmins, Ellsworth Kelly, Deborah Oropallo, Matthew Ritchie, Frank Stella and Terry Winters.

Decor: Stanlee Gatti
