SFMOMA Announces Admission Price Change Effective July 1, 2005

Effective July 1, admission prices to the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art (SFMOMA) will increase. All Museum admission policies remain in effect, including free admission to all on the first Tuesday of every month; free admission for children 12 and under; free admission for SFMOMA members and a guest; and half-price admission every Thursday after 6 p.m.

Museum Admission (Effective July 1, 2005)


$8 Seniors

$7 Students with valid ID

Half-price Thursdays 6–8:45 p.m.

Free day First Tuesday of each month is free to all

Free SFMOMA members and children 12 and under (accompanied by adult)

Founded in 1935 as the first West Coast museum devoted to modern and contemporary art, SFMOMA is currently undergoing a major expansion project that will significantly enhance gallery, education, and public spaces, enabling the museum to better showcase more of its expanded permanent collection.
