Representing a Life Story
Students choose symbols that represent who they are and paint them onto fabric panels; the panels can then be combined into a large quilt.

Art can tell a personal story
Many twentieth-century artists convey personal concerns and narratives through their work. Sometimes they use their own experiences as subject matter. Other times they use the art-making process to explore issues of personal identity.
