Explore Robert Bechtle's life and work through lively videos of the artist in his studio as well as photographs, letters, and newspaper clippings from his personal archive. A gallery of artworks — zoom-enabled for closer inspection — shows highlights from his forty-year career. This interactive multimedia feature was developed in conjunction with the exhibition Robert Bechtle: A Retrospective, on view at SFMOMA from February 12 through June 5, 2005.
