Overview

Hersch brings his world-class musicianship to SFMOMA for a tribute to jazz pioneer Thelonious Monk. The pianist performs a selection of Monk's most notable works, then joins Berkson and Brown for an insightful discussion about the relationship between Monk's music and modern American art and literature.
