Riffing on "I Want You" army recruitment campaigns, Labat asked Bay Area residents to make their own demands of the public in live performances. Five winners were chosen, and in October their slogans appeared on posters around town. On election day, Labat screens a new work culled from footage of the project. The artist introduces the video and joins Smigiel for a post-screening Q&A on November 04, 2008.
Museum and program admission are free. Seats are available on a first-come, first-served basis.
First Tuesdays are always free, thanks to AT&T.
