Georgia O'Keeffe and Ansel Adams

Erin O'Toole, assistant curator, photography, SFMOMA

Phyllis Wattis Theater
noon

In conjunction with the exhibition Georgia O'Keeffe and Ansel Adams: Natural Affinities, O'Toole explores congruities between the work of the two lifelong friends. Inspired in part by the artistic philosophies of photographer and gallerist Alfred Stieglitz, both artists saw nature as a vehicle for personal expression, and throughout their long careers they each explored a wide range of natural forms, from enormous mountain ranges to tiny wildflowers.

Museum and program admission are free.
