Electroma, Thomas Bangalter and Guy-Manuel De Homem-Christo, 2006, 74 min, 35mm.

The directorial debut of electronic music duo Daft Punk (Bangalter and De Homem-Christo), Electroma is the cinematographically stunning chronicle of two robots on a quest to become human. Austere yet saturated in Americana, the film manages to brilliantly complement Daft Punk's style even while containing no music by the successful group.

$5 general; free for SFMOMA members or with museum admission (requires a free ticket, which can be picked up in the Haas Atrium).
