Overview

The Constant Prince by Jerzy Grotowski: Reconstruction, Ferruccio Marotti, 2005, 48 min., video
Action in Aya Irini, Jacques Vetter, 2004, 70 min., video

Granting primacy to the actor-audience relationship and, above all, to the actor's performance, Polish director Grotowski pioneered a stripped-down, metaphysical style of theater. This program celebrates the legacy of the father of contemporary experimental theater with films that examine his work and methodology.

Introduced by Mario Biagini, Associate Director of the Workcenter of Jerzy Grotowski and Thomas Richards
