Now in its 14th season, the Activating the Medium festival is an internationally recognized showcase for the most innovative and visionary practitioners of sound art. SFMOMA hosts an evening of performance in conjunction with this year's festival, which explores the use of radio through composition and new media presentation. Garet's multimedia works explore concept and function, material and process, listening and viewing. Haynes and Holt collaborate through a system of dioramas, surveillance cameras, and radio interference for a hybridized audiovisual phantasmagoria.
