Richard Serra Drawing: A Retrospective presents the lesser-known practice of one of the most celebrated sculptors of the 20th century. Although two-dimensional, Serra's drawings have an equivalent amount of intensity and physical engagement as his sculptures and a similar concern with process and materials. Exhibition co-curator Garrels joins Serra for a discussion of drawing and its role in his artistic production. A book signing precedes the talk at 6:00 p.m. in the Haas Atrium.
Tickets for the lecture are sold out, but a simulcast will be available in the Koret Visitor Education Center. Admission to the simulcast is on a first-come, first-served basis and free with museum admission.
