The Bay Area Remembers Bearden

This closing event brings together a number of Bearden's associates and friends for a discussion of his work and legacy. Mayhew talks about the Spiral Group that Bearden cofounded in 1963. Saunders, Selz, and Worth speak about Bearden's 1971 exhibition at the Berkeley Art Museum and Berkeley and Its People, the 1974 collage mural he created for the city. The mural, from which the City of Berkeley has taken its current logo, is featured in the Bearden exhibition.
