Artist Talk: Kara Walker
Phyllis Wattis Theater
1:00 p.m.
Drawing on the antiquated art form of the silhouette, Walker creates provocative works that confront issues of race and gender. Her scenes of the antebellum South rendered in cut paper address the complexity of slavery and race relations and their continuing legacy.
$12 general; $8 SFMOMA members, students, and seniors.
