Overview

Since the late 1960s, Long has based his work on walks in such diverse places as the Scottish Highlands, the Alps, the Andes, and the Sahara desert. Using sculptures, maps, words, and photographs, he documents his experiences from these walks, exploring notions of time, space, movement, sight, sound, and touch. In this program, Long discusses his latest project in the Sierra Nevada.
