Beginning with his first solo museum exhibition at SFMOMA in 1991, Barney has gained international attention on the contemporary art scene, developing a complex body of work that incorporates drawing, sculpture, photography, performance, video, and film. In this program, Barney discusses his DRAWING RESTRAINT series, including his latest film, DRAWING RESTRAINT 9, which is screened daily at the Museum. A book signing follows the talk.

Please note: This event is sold out. There will be a live simulcast of the lecture in The Schwab Room and the Koret Visitor Education Center. Admission to the simulcast is free with Museum admission, and seating is on a first-come, first-served basis.
