Overview

San Francisco-based artist Ray has exhibited paintings and drawings in numerous galleries and museums. He is also a celebrated graphic designer who has created works featuring innovative combinations of typography, photography, drawing, and collage for clients such as Apple, Dreamworks, and Sony Music, among others. This program explores Ray's special connection to the music world, evidenced in album cover designs for David Bowie, Diamanda Galas, and Matmos and more than 100 rock posters for bands such as the Pixies, Radiohead, the Scissor Sisters, and U2.
