Anselm Kiefer: Skepticism and Hope

Born in 1945, Kiefer belongs to a generation of Germans for whom, he has said, "there is always hope, but that must be combined with irony and, more important, skepticism." In this program, Bishop provides an introduction to the exhibition Anselm Kiefer: Heaven and Earth, and Samis leads a demonstration of the interactive media feature created for the exhibition, which includes video footage of the artist and detailed presentations of Kiefer's works, materials, and concerns.
