Types and Prototypes: Selections from the Permanent Collection of Architecture and Design presents architectural renderings, furniture, design objects and graphic design that have recently entered the SFMOMA collection, all exceptional examples of the classic response to modernity. Among the architects and designers whose work is included in the exhibition are Tom Bonauro, Henry Dreyfuss, Frank Gehry, Michael Graves, George Nelson, Timothy Pflueger, Aldo Rossi, Samuel Smidt and Lebbeus Woods.
