Although best known for her photography, Germaine Krull participated in the production of six films between 1925 and 1943. In recognition of the synergy between her photography and the work of experimental filmmakers in the early decades of the 20th century, SFMOMA presents a rich assortment of films that share with Krull's photographs an interest in the rhythm, experience and geography of modern life. The program includes films by Fernard Léger, René Clair, Joris Ivens and Jean Cocteau, in addition to three of Krull's own films.
