Notable for his visually arresting and compelling graphic designs, Martin Venezky creates complex layerings of fragmented grids and letter forms. Drawn entirely from the Museum's permanent collection, this exhibition presents approximately 15 recent works by the San Francisco-based artist — including Open: The Magazine of the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art, Speak magazine, and several book projects — that demonstrate his fascination with the patterns, rhythm, and architecture of type.
