January 16 - April 25, 1999

This tribute to the contemporary artist, who died in September 1997, will highlight the long-term loan of twenty-nine works by Lichtenstein to SFMOMA's permanent collection. It will be the first exhibition in the Bay Area to present such a large number of Lichtenstein's works, and will include paintings from the early 1960s to the mid-1970s.
