Twenty-one works by Joseph Cornell — a gift from the Joseph and Robert Cornell Memorial Foundation — appear in this focus exhibition, part of SFMOMA's ongoing painting and sculpture presentation. Joseph Cornell: Private Constellations is organized by Gary Garrels, Elise S. Haas chief curator and curator of painting and sculpture; Janet Bishop, Andrew W. Mellon Foundation associate curator of painting and sculpture; and Kelly Purcell, curatorial assistant for painting and sculpture.
