About The Modern Ball 2014

What is The Modern Ball?

Chaired by SFMOMA Trustee, Christine Lamond, the Modern Ball is a biennial celebration supporting the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art. This year's event lights up beautiful Yerba Buena Gardens on Wednesday, April 30, with surprises around every corner.

The spectacular evening, designed by Stanlee Gatti, brings together three sensational experiences. The glamorous Gala Dinner includes an exquisite seated dinner and thrilling live auction featuring an artwork by Luc Tuymans. At the Supper Club, guests kick back in an ultrachic lounge with entertainment by DJ King Most, gourmet culinary stations, and flowing drinks. Late-night revelers then join Gala Dinner and Supper Club guests as the electrifying Post-Modern Party takes off in City View at Metreon, with a live performance by Holy Ghost! and a DJ set by Passion Pit, a silent disco by Silent Frisco, specialty cocktails, gourmet bites, and dancing continuing into the night.

Proceeds from this exciting event support SFMOMA's California-wide exhibitions and innovative education programs serving more than 60,000 students, teachers, and families each year.
