In this view of the back of Rosalie/Red Cheek/Temporary Letter/Stock (Cardboard), SFMOMA art handlers hold the work by its wooden support panel, which is not visible from the front when the piece is installed. The cut panel follows the irregular contours, holes, and tears of the cardboard pieces; Rauschenberg’s signature and date appear at center, and museum and gallery labels are affixed to both ends.
