Robert Arneson

Arneson's sculptures epitomized the 1960s and 1970s Bay Area Funk art movement. Fusing offbeat humor and irreverence with Pop-inspired subject matter, he used everyday objects to create biting satire.

This segment devoted to Arneson's life and work is part of the larger feature Voices and Images of California Art, which highlights 11 of California's most celebrated artists through a combination of audio and video clips, artwork reproductions, photographs, and other documents.
