Frida Kahlo and Diego Rivera at the Blue House

Mexican artist Frida Kahlo expresses her feelings about her husband, Diego Rivera. This archival footage of Kahlo and Rivera at their home in Mexico was shot by photographer Nickolas Muray, who was Kahlo's friend, lover, and confidante as well as a supporter of her artwork. Muray was one of the most sought-after portrait photographers of his day and a pioneer of color photography in America. Their liaison is considered to be Kahlo's most important relationship aside from that with Rivera.
