Artist Yto Barrada discusses life in Tangier, a city poised on the northern coast of Morocco along the Strait of Gibraltar, the waterway separating Africa and Europe. Her series A Life Full of Holes: The Strait Project is a study of the simultaneous conditions of nearness and estrangement the strait has produced.
