Artist David Wilson reflects on his SFMOMA commission, a series of six self-guided journeys to outdoor sites throughout San Francisco. The project begins at a trailhead on Third Street in front of the now closed SFMOMA building, where visitors can find hand-drawn maps that provide walking and public transportation directions for the experience. The first journey leads to an installation at the Presidio. Over the course of the exhibition, Wilson will regularly develop new sites and provide updated maps at the trailhead.
