Artist Josh Faught reflects on his SFMOMA commission, a constellation of sculptures that respond to the architecture and history of the Neptune Society Columbarium in San Francisco, a nondenominational repository for cremation urns. In this video he reflects on the idiosyncrasies of that space and the personalized memorials housed there, which demonstrate a balance between gravity and levity that is mirrored in his sculptures.
