Foto Forum

Overview

Foto Forum is an art interest group for diverse individuals who share a passion for photography and a desire to see it grow at the museum. The group's members include collectors, photographers, arts professionals, scholars, and aficionados at all levels of experience.

Foto Forum provides its members with access to SFMOMA's photography curators, contemporary artists, Bay Area galleries, photography dealers, and photographic historians. The group provides unique opportunities to meet others who are interested in photography and socialize in a comfortable and informal setting.

Foto Forum strengthens SFMOMA's rich photography program by providing direct financial support for exhibitions and the purchase of photographs for the museum's collection. Members' dues are $500 per year and represent a significant contribution to the photography department's acquisition budget. Foto Forum membership also requires an SFMOMA membership at the Supporting level ($250) or higher.
