TROUBLESHOOTING QUICKTIME If you are using a connection which includes a firewall, you may not be able to view the streaming video from the SFMOMA site. This occurs because firewalls are often configured to block certain types of data streams, including RTSP, the standard for streaming QuickTime. Choose your platform: Windows or Macintosh OS9 Macintosh OSX Close Window Back WINDOWS AND MACINTOSH OS9: If you can't see the movies, try changing the QuickTime settings: Go to Settings: Control Panel: QuickTime Select "Streaming Transport" from the pull-down menu Choose "Use HTTP, Port ID: 80" Close Window Back MACINTOSH OSX: For QuickTime 6.5: Open the QuickTime Player and choose Preferences: QuickTime Preferences Select the "Connection" tab and click "Transport Setup..." Set Transport Protocol to "HTTP," and set port ID to 80 For QuickTime 7.0: Open the QuickTime Player and choose QuickTime Preferences Select the "Advanced" Tab Choose "Custom" from the "Transport" pull-down menu Set Transport Protocol to "HTTP," and set port ID to 80 Close Window |
