We're Here to Help

During your visit to SFMOMA, our staff are happy to answer your questions about the museum and the surrounding area. Visit the Information Desk just inside our entrance.

Free Coat Check + Lost and Found

Complimentary coat and bag check is available in the Haas Atrium. Note that all umbrellas, backpacks, parcels, and large bags must be checked. For lost items, see security or call 415.357.4139.

Free Strollers + Wheelchairs

Available on a first-come, first-served basis at coat check.

Photography

Flashless photography is allowed for personal, noncommercial use, except where noted. Flash photography and videography are not allowed in the galleries. Tripods are not allowed.

Sketching and Taking Notes

Pencils are allowed in the galleries, but pens, paint, chalk, and crayons are not. Free pencils are available at the information desk and from most security guards.

Cell Phones

We request that you refrain from talking on your cell phone in the galleries, but you are welcome to make calls on the first floor.

Animals

Visitors with disabilities may bring their service animals into all areas where the public is permitted. Pets are not allowed in SFMOMA.

Staff visitors

All business visitors and staff guests should arrive at SFMOMA's business entrance, accessible from Minna Street on the north side of the museum. Please note that SFMOMA staff members are available by prior appointment only.
