SFMOMA invites children and adults to spend time together and explore modern and contemporary art through an outstanding lineup of workshops, activities, special events and more. Discover works of art in our galleries, make your own masterpiece, listen to stories, go on a treasure hunt, or participate in a community installation. Our programs are designed to encourage experimentation and creativity, and to develop critical thinking skills.
Family programs are offered on a first come, first served basis and capacity is limited. We encourage participants to arrive early to ensure that space is available. For more information, please call the Education Programs information line at 415.947.1292 or email edu@sfmoma.org.
And when you're at SFMOMA, make sure to drop by the Koret Visitor Education Center, which offers a range of activities, materials, and information for all ages.
Offered on the first and third Sunday of every month, SFMOMA's Family Studio explores art through an array of participatory activities for both children and adults. Recent offerings include hands-on art projects, gallery tours for the whole family, and family-friendly book readings and film screenings. Consult the listing below for a complete schedule of upcoming events.
