December 2009 marks the 75th anniversary of the Women's Board of the San Francisco Museum of Art, the SFMOMA auxiliary now known as the Modern Art Council (MAC). Over the last 75 years, the Women's Board and its successors, the Membership Activities Board and MAC, have been the museum's premier fund-raising groups. Having hosted hundreds of events and activities and raised millions of dollars for the museum, the women's auxiliaries have supported exhibitions, purchases of art, and even a curatorial post. At black-tie balls and honorary luncheons, educational programs and art auctions, the Women's Board, Membership Activities Board, and MAC have helped build the museum community. SFMOMA is proud to honor 75 years of outstanding work by this very special group of women.

Bay Area Treasure Award Luncheon Honoring Bill Fontana
Reserve your tickets today for the annual Bay Area Treasure luncheon. Grand Benefactor tickets are $750 each; Benefactor tickets are $500 each; general tickets are $350 each. A limited number of Grand Benefactor tables are available. Proceeds from the event benefit SFMOMA's exhibitions and public programming.
