We have created a wide selection of tours to meet the needs of our diverse audiences, and all of them provide engaging and enjoyable opportunities to learn more about modern and contemporary art. Here's what we offer:

Daily public tours offered by our friendly and knowledgeable docents (free with admission)
Audio and multimedia tours allow visitors to explore the galleries on their own, and at their own pace.
Private guided tours for adults and college students that can be tailored to your specific interests (available for groups of 10 adults or more)
School tours for elementary and high school students
For those who want to lead their own students through the galleries, we offer training programs for high school teachers and college professors
Summer youth tours for young visitors in camps, summer school, and other youth programs

To determine which type of tour is right for you, please review the pages within this section. If you have further questions, each of the individual tour descriptions includes contact information for someone who can help.

Please note that from June 3, 2013 through early 2016, SFMOMA's exhibitions and programs will be presented at off-site locations while our building is closed for expansion; many of our tours offerings will change. Check back for details about our docent and community offerings during the expansion.
