This three foot tall, two-and-a-half foot wide oil painting features a topless woman wearing a wide-brimmed hat on the crown of her head. The subject, a thin young Caucasian woman with blue eyes and straight shoulder-length blonde hair, is depicted from just above the navel facing our left with a neutral expression. She stands out against a white background textured with consistent creamy white horizontal brushstrokes leading up to and away from her body. Stark light shines down from our upper left, falling on the woman’s breasts, which are paler compared to the rest of her tanned body. The curves of her figure are highlighted and contoured with thin red, blue, green and yellow lines. Atop her head she wears a pink, round, wide-brimmed hat, which casts a blue oval shadow on the wall behind her.
