New Work artist Anna Parkina explores the legacy of Soviet and other early avant-gardes in a suite of works on paper and in this evening’s West Coast performance debut. Then, in collaboration with the Noise Pop festival, dance artists robbinschilds (Layla Childs and Sonya Robbins) and Seattle noise band Kinski present C.L.U.E. (color location ultimate experience). A collaboration with artists A. L. Steiner and AJ Blandford, C.L.U.E. is a video and performance work that features a paired figure moving through the landscapes of Southern California and upstate New York. The piece also shifts and adapts uniquely to each presentation site.
