Ruth Keffer, curatorial associate, architecture and design, SFMOMA
Many buildings and spaces are familiar to us only through representations: architectural renderings, illustrations, and photographs. Though photography is a tool for documentation, it is also an art form, a medium that can distort our perceptions and thrill our senses. Drawing on photographs from the SFMOMA collection, Keffer presents significant moments in contemporary architectural photography, concluding with images by Todd Eberle, whose work is currently on view.
