Join us for Art Auction 2013, an exhilarating evening presented by the Modern Art Council to benefit SFMOMA’s engaging exhibitions and public programs. The event will feature both live and silent auctions, providing the opportunity to purchase works by internationally renowned artists such as Jim Campbell, Vija Celmins, Mark Hagen, Jasper Johns, Gerhard Richter, Analia Saban, Cindy Sherman, and Andy Warhol, along with a growing list of other photographs, paintings, drawings, and design objects from top galleries nationwide. The evening promises new and exciting works that will be of interest to anyone who loves — or would love — to collect art.

Art Auction 2013 attendees will enjoy champagne and cocktails, creative culinary offerings by McCalls catering, and — new to the event this year — a live performance (to be announced) in the museum’s Evelyn and Walter Haas Jr. Atrium. Following a preview reception for VIP ticket holders, guests will have the opportunity to bid on a variety of works by both established and emerging artists represented in SFMOMA’s collection and in recent museum exhibitions.

With many significant milestones ahead for SFMOMA — including groundbreaking for its major expansion project, the launch of a dynamic slate of off-site programs during the construction phase for the new building, and the reopening of the new museum in early 2016 — this year’s auction promises to be an especially celebratory occasion.
