Tuesday, Dec 3, 2002

11 a.m.

Participants

Miriam Paeslack, Art Historian

Paeslack compares Sander’s images of German women of the 1920s and 1930s to photographs of women by expressionist painter Ernst Ludwig Kirchner and self-portraits by contemporary women photographers, recontextualizing Sander’s concept of photographic objectivity.
