Recognized among the top architects of his generation, London-based Adjaye is acclaimed for his highly artistic vision, ingenious use of materials, and ability to showcase and “sculpt” light. His high-profile projects include the Bernie Grant Centre in London, the Nobel Peace Center in Oslo, and the Olafur Eliasson pavilion at the 2005 Venice Biennale. He has served as cohost of the series “Dreamspaces” and presented the documentary Building Africa: The Architecture of a Continent for the BBC. He comes to SFMOMA for an insightful discussion about his architectural practice.
