Contemporary photography from South Africa is a growing concentration in the SFMOMA collection. This workshop begins a process that will result in an exhibition in 2014. A collaboration between SFMOMA and Yerba Buena Center for the Arts, the exhibition will take photography as a starting point to explore visual activism and the representation of social space in South Africa.
