For every year since 1977, International Museum Day has been held worldwide, and it now involves more than 30,000 museums in some 100 countries. On the 35th anniversary of this event, SFMOMA is pleased to be a part of a global community of cultural leaders dedicated to fostering dialogue about the important role of museums in our society.
