Beat the crowds and tune in for a day of programing with O Grivo and Camille Norment. Performance All Ages invites you and your family to enjoy a day of unconventional sonic performances. Join Brazilian audiovisual artists O Grivo as they create an aural puzzle with surprising materials, including springs, cans, metal leafs, wooden boxes, and more. The artists then improvise with these musical machines, using electronic filters and effects to produce a soundscape like nothing you’ve ever heard before! Stick around to hear American artist Camille Norment performing with her glass armonica, a rare eighteenth-century instrument that creates ethereal music from glass and water.

Be sure to check out Amor Muñoz’s endurance drawing performance Rhythmic Manufacture (2015/2017), set to the steady rhythm of a metronome, as well as O Grivo’s Cantilena (2017) and Norment’s Lull (2016), all on view as a part of the Soundtracks exhibition on Floor 7.
