Portraits and Identity

In conjunction with the exhibition Portraits and Other Likenesses from SFMOMA, this workshop will examine how artists have redefined the notion of portraiture, specifically through the lens of artists from the African Diaspora. Teachers will tour the exhibition, explore resources for integrating themes and works from the exhibition into their classrooms, and participate in a hands-on activity.

Workshops are designed for high school teachers, but educators at all levels are welcome to attend.
