This series presents video works by artists exhibiting in SOFT POWER to expand upon ideas explored in the exhibition on the role of the artist as citizen. The January program includes a screening of Édouard Glissant: One World in Relation (2010) by Manthia Diawara, a major influence for this exhibition. These screenings and discussions will provide opportunities to expand our understanding of the political and creative context from which SOFT POWER artists’ practices emerge.
