Teacher Institute: Tracing Identity

Co-presented by SFMOMA and KQED, this special workshop focuses on how artists use narrative to make statements about themselves and their culture. Participants will examine works by artists in the exhibition Project Los Altos: SFMOMA in Silicon Valley as well as works in SFMOMA’s collection. Chris Johanson, whose work is part of Project Los Altos will lead a hands-on activity. Each participant will then create a digital image or symbolic narrative that combines images with text.
