Held in conjunction with the The Photographic Event symposium, this mini-conference is a chance for Bay Area high school teachers in the arts and humanities to connect with peers and gather new ideas and approaches for teaching with photography. Teachers will showcase lesson plans created in collaboration with the museum. This half-day professional development workshop is designed for high school teachers, but all K12 educators are welcome to apply.

After the program, teachers are invited to stay and join the scheduled discussions for The Photographic Event.

For more information, contact the Teacher Programs Office at teachers@sfmoma.org.

The Photographic Event

This two-day symposium will explore photography’s multifaceted relationship to time, history, and memory through a series of panel discussions, presentations, and performances.
