Since 1995 SFMOMA has presented annual lectures and major symposia thanks to the support of the Phyllis C. Wattis Distinguished Lecture Series fund. This year we present three forum-style events that will bring together cultural producers, scholars, activists, and educators in discussion around some of our most urgent issues in public life.

The Air We Breathe goes “live” with this special symposium devoted to the subject of marriage equality and offers a status update on the issue. Taking a tactical approach, participants pair up to discuss electoral politics, law, and media. A public reception follows the program.
