Focusing on works from the SFMOMA collection (and paintings by Jasper Johns in particular), Julie Charles explores the question of how artists seek out, develop, accrue, and at times stumble across inspiration for their art. Charles provides historical insight and encourages participants to respond with their own reactions. The session concludes with a short visit to the galleries.
